About Funeral Consumers Education Foundation

History

The Funeral Consumers Education Foundation (FCEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting a consumer’s right to choose a dignified, meaningful and affordable funeral. We provide related free educational materials and contact information about facilities and organizations that provide end-of-life services.

FCEF was established in October 2010. Its initial effort was to begin a survey or mortuary prices in Oregon which will appear in the summer of 2011 and will be updated yearly. We will also initiate a series of workshops on end-of-life planning scheduled to begin in the fall of 2011.
